ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you will be warmly welcomed with signboard by driver (No Guide), then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available until 14:00 PM).

Rest of the day is free for you to explore Hanoi city on your own.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR FULL DAY (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

This morning, we will start a Hanoi tour by visiting outside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam).

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Temple of Literature. Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070. It is gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son Temple, Walking to visit Ma May ancient house...

+ On Monday, Ethnic museums is closed, visit Thang Long Citadel instead of Ethnology Museum.

DAY 3: HANOI - HALONG BAY - HANOI (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

This morning, we depart from Hanoi and drive 3.5 hours through the Red River Delta on your way to Halong City.

Arrive in Halong Bay at noon, board a traditional wooden junk and start the cruising trip to the Bay and enjoy fresh seafood lunch is served while the boat is gliding out.

Get ready for exotic photos and absorbing the most magnificent natural splendors, limestone bedrocks and sheer cliffs of tiny islands highlighted with fanciful names: Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay), Duck, Swan, Incense Burner, and Stone Dogs. Visiting the most beautiful cave named Thien Cung (Heaven Palace Grotto) and explores huge chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites of all kinds. Continue to enjoy this relaxing cruise on the way back to Ha Long harbor.

Driver is waiting and takes you back to Hanoi city.

DAY 4: HANOI - FLY TO HO CHI MINH - CITY TOUR (B, L)

After breakfast, you will pick up by driver (No Guide) to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to hotel by tour guide with signboard.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon: visit The Reunification Palace, War Remants Museum, The Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, Jade Emperor Pagoda.

DAY 5: MEKONG DELTA TOUR FULL DAY (B, L)

Mekong Delta is also known as Vietnam's 'rice basket’-- a fertile area spreading nearly 50,000 sq km. Here the mighty Mekong River ends by splitting itself into nine major tributaries. The Vietnamese name these nine tributaries “Nine Dragons.” Here’s our schedule that is designed to help you experience local daily activities along the Mekong.

08:00 - 08:15AM, Pick up at your hotel, travel by shuttle bus to My Tho – 9:30 AM, and board a wooden motor boat to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen's port, stilt houses. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a large orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. Another boat stop is for the Turtle Island 1 hr from the previous one. Here, on a small row boat, you’ll see interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around. From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.

After that we’ll take you to a village where you can smell the flavor of coconut candies being made many yards away. This is a great chance to witness how village people make candy and handcrafted items from coconuts. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees.
