ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by driver (No Guide). Then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available after 14:00 PM).

The rest time, you will be freely explore Hanoi by your ways.

DAY 2: HANOI - SAPA - CATCAT VILLAGE (B, L)

At 07:30 am: Tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point then depart to Sapa, following Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. Along the way, you will enjoy by the beauty of northwest mountains, terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Stop and have a rest in 30 minutes.

Have lunch at local restaurant on the way.
13.00 am: Arrive in Sapa, check in hotel.
Afternoon: You start trekking to Cat Cat village which is occupied by the Black H’mong tribe. Here, you can see the hydroelectric power station which was built by the French in twentieth century. You will experience the tribal way of life of ethnic minorities while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat village. 
Evening: you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping.

DAY 3: SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI (B, L)

After breakfast, go trekking to Lao Chai, Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai villages of H’mong, Dzay, Red Dzao minorities. From here we have a magnificent view to the minority villages and terraced rice fields beneath us. The walk is about 16 km along the track that the Vietnamese used for fleeing, when the Chinese invaded Sapa in 1979. Then get back to Sapa for overnight.

DAY 4: SAPA – BAC HA (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

Today, transfer to Bac Ha, possibility of visiting a market for ethnic minorities (if you arrive on Sunday). Walking around the Bac Ha village populated by Mong, colorful ethnic and other minorities (Ban Pho).

DAY 5: BAC HA – BA BE (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

Today leave Bac Ha for Ba Be, passing through mountainous regions. The terraced rice fields consist of beautiful landscapes. Continue to the village of Pac Ngoi Tay located not far away from the lake. The Tay who settled there, living on fishing, rice and corn. Their houses on stilts, with thatched roof, decorate graciously austere surrounding landscapes.

DAY 6: BA BE LAKE – DAU DANG WATERFALL (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

Leave Hua Khat village, we will take a walking of 5 km to the main road where car is waiting for, crossing Cao Pha Pass on the bumpy road and visiting bee-growing farm and someminority groups on the way until you get to Tu Le. Homestay in Ma village of Thai people. Free at the leisure, "Having a bath in hot spring". Dinner and overnight at homestay in Ma village.

Following breakfast, take a boat ride in the beautiful town of Lake Ba Be. The lake “three seas”, which stretches over 9 km long and 100 to 1800 m wide, is located 145 m above sea level. It is at the mouth of 3 valleys that converge in an arc. Ba Be is not only a site for imaginative, but also for nature lovers. Nearly forty species of mammals live here, and over a hundred species of birds and many butterflies. Visit Dau Dang waterfalls, cave Puong and hiking in the countryside. Night in the house on stilts of Tay to Pac Ngoi.

DAY 7: PAK NGOI – CAO BANG (B, L, D)

Today, head to Cao Bang, near Phac Na, walking across the fields that will be an opportunity to discover the techniques of field work of Tay. Encounter along the way Dao sapeck with silver coins on their costumes.

DAY 8: CAO BANG – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – CAO BANG (B, L, D)

Today, take a discovery to the waterfall at Ban Gioc considered the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. China is just on the other side of the waterfalls. Walking tour along the River, visit Nguom Ngao Grotto then get back to Cao Bang.

DAY 9: CAO BANG – LANG SON (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

Today excursion to the famous Colonial Road N4 or there were 5000 french soldiers were killed in 1950. Walking tour to Dong Khe before arriving at That Khe. Arrive late afternoon in Lang Son border town between Vietnam and China. Free time to visit the Dong Kinh Market.

DAY 10: LANG SON – HALONG BAY (B, L, D)

Today, drive to Halong Bay and watching the busy rice paddies over the road. Arrival Halong, boarding a boat for 2 days 1 night exploring the Bay. Cruising between the 3000 island emerging from the emerald water. Enjoy Kayaking or relax on the beach for swimming, an extraordinary 360 degree view of the Wonder of the World with sunset.

DAY 11: HALONG BAY – NINH BINH (B, L, D)

Getting up early, hearing the sound of the ocean. After breakfast on boat, take a visit to the caves and a floating village. Landing at our harbor at 12:00, then departure to Ninh Binh cross the Red River Delta and arrival to Tam Coc

DAY 12: TAM COC – MAI CHAU (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at the hotel.

At 08:30 am, tour guide pick you up at hotel to Tam Coc, then you will get on bamboo boat - rowed by the local people - in Ngo Dong river to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way. You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisher folk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.

Then, depart to visit Hoa Lu - the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. You will visit Dinh King temple and Le King temple built in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, transfer to Mai Chau, overnight in the stilt house in Mai Chau.

DAY 13: MAI CHAU - HANOI (B, L)

Have breakfast.

Walk through the valley of Mai Chau, together with your guide, take a gentle trek to explore the surroundings with villages of stilt house, fruit and vegetable gardens and rice fields. This is a great chance for you to learn the daily life of the locals and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Back to the family for lunch.

Afternoon, drive back Hanoi.

DAY 14: HANOI - DEPARTURE (B)
