ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI

Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by driver (No Guide). Then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available after 14:00 PM).

The rest time, you will be freely explore Hanoi by your ways.

Overnight in Hanoi

DAY 2: HANOI - HA GIANG – QUAN BA – NAM DAM (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at hotel.

Tour guide will pick-up you at your hotel in Hanoi and depart to Quan Ba (Quản Bạ), Hà Giang. Have some stops for taking photo and contemplate breath taking landscape of the area. Arrive Nam Dam (Nậm Đăm) village, have a short rest before enjoying the first lunch with the host family.
Afternoon our local guide will lead you walk around the village. You will have chance to see the local traditional houses made of compacted soil which are cool in the summer and warm in the winter to protect people here from severe weather in the high mountains. You are welcomed to visit the houses whose owners are very friendly and hospitable. As you walk in the village, you will have the opportunity to observe daily life of the Dao people.
Depending on the season of the year, if you want to learn about the local products, you can visit households that produce honey, corn or rice wine, or visit the tailoring and embroidering group in the village.
After the walk, you come back to your homestay for refresh and have dinner. You will spend the night at the homestay

DAY 3: LUNG TAM – DONG VAN (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at homestay.

Then depart from Nam Dam village, you will walk up to the hill at the end of the village to see the spectacular view of the Can Ty valley, with Mien river flowing through the villages of Hmong, Nung, Dzay ethnic groups. Continue to go along the little lane through the terraced fields and woods to come to Lung Tam down the valley. There, you will visit the workshop and showroom of the hemp weaving cooperative to learn about the process of hemp weaving and admire the stunning hemp products. Lung Tam hemp products are unique for many features such as: natural material of hemp trees; no chemical dying; cool, soft fiber; iconic exquisite motifs of decoration representing ethnic H’Mong culture in the highlands; natural materials to produce colours.
After visiting the hemp weaving cooperative, our driver will transfer you to Dong Van. On the way visit Vuong Chi Sinh’s house, a land lord of H’Mong hill tribe in the past.
Arrive Dong Van, check in hotel, free time to visit the small town. If it is early you can have a short trek to Don Cao, a top mountain bunker built by French people in the wartime to control the area.

Overnight at Homestay in Dong Van

DAY 4: DONG VAN – MEO VAC - HANOI (B, L)

Have breakfast at homestay.

Then, visit Dong Van Market (market day on Sunday). Depart to Meo Vac on Ma Pi Leng Pass. On the way you can visit Meo Vac or Lung Phinh market (if on market day).

Have lunch in Yen Minh town.
After lunch, go back to Hanoi and finish tour at your hotel.
 

Notes:
- It is compulsory to have security permission from Ha Giang police, so copy of passport and visa is needed for this tour.
- Personal luggage should be no more than 6kg. Good shoes, rain gear (Apr to Oct), warm clothes (Nov to Mar) and insect repellent are of great use.

DAY 5: HANOI - DEPARTURE (B)
