ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by driver (No Guide). Then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available after 14:00 PM).

The rest time, you will be freely explore Hanoi by your ways.

DAY 2: HANOI - MAI CHAU VALLEY (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at hotel.

At 08:00 am, tour guide pick up you from hotel, then depart toward Hoa Binh province. After the bustling city, your drive becomes more scenic as you are making the way through the countryside with views of villages, small towns and farms along the way. You're able to make short stops for photo opportunities. Arrive at a village of White Thai people in Mai Chau Valley around noon.

Have a Vietnamese lunch at the village.

In the afternoon, together with your guide, take a gentle trek to explore the surroundings with villages of stilt house, fruit and vegetable gardens and rice fields. This is a great chance for you to learn the daily life of the locals and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Back to the family for dinner.

DAY 3: MAI CHAU - MOC CHAU (B, L, D)

After your breakfast, get transferred to a trekking point at Mai Hich valley to embark on a morning trek through the long valley of more stilt-house villages, farms and gardens. It is a bit more uneven than Mai Chau Valley so you are able to see some terraced fields some times on the trek. The scenery is also very peaceful and rural. Get picked up by your private vehicle at the end of the trek, return to Mai Chau for the lunch.

The afternoon drive takes you about 2 hours to Moc Chau Plateau. Upon arrival at Moc Chau town, drive onward to the tea plantation for around 1,5 hours trekking up and down the low hills of green-tea. After that, drive back to town and check into your accommodation at Moc Chau Arena Village for the night.

DAY 4: MOC CHAU - MU CANG CHAI (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at hotel.

This is a longer driving day. The distance is 200 km roughly. You will have some interesting breaks on the way. The very first one, just a few minutes after your departure, is Hang Doi or Bat Cave. This is one of the most beautiful and largest caves in Moc Chau. The cave is incredibly decorated by many stalactites and stalagmites. Your morning drive is on the National Road No6.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
The afternoon drive is winding up to Mu Cang Chai via Son La and Nam Chien hydro-power plans. Have short stops by the dames for taking some photos. Late in the afternoon, have an other stop at Ngoc Chien Commune to visit an interesting Hot Spring. This is the perfect time of the day when you have a chance to witness the ethnic Thai villager's naked bathing custom. You're able to check in a nearby family for a dip to enjoy the warm bath before continue on your drive to Mu Cang Chai. Check in accommodation in Mu Cang Chai for dinner and staying overnight.

DAY 5: MU CANG CHAI TREK (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

At 08:45 am, start the day by a transfer to a trekking point at Che Cu Nha Commune. The trek is about 10 km on dirt paths to La Pan Tan Commune. This part of the nation's unique landscape will definitely offer you a great experience for your Vietnam trip. Beside the amazing terraced fields, you also have chance to visit some ethnic villages of the H'mong people. You have a lunch box for today. At the end of the trek, get picked up and get back to the accommodation for the second night.

DAY 6: MU CANG CHAI - SAPA (B, L)

Have breakfast.

At 08:00 am, depart from Mu Cang Chai, driving further up to Sapa. It takes half-a-day via the highest pass of Vietnam - O Quy Ho. The photo opportunities include O Quy Ho Pass' Top, Silver Waterfall.
In the afternoon, you will take time to ride the longest non-stop three-rope cable car to admire the august landscapes of Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and Muong Hoa Valley. Check into your accommodation for tonight in Sapa.

DAY 7: SAPA - BAC HA (B, L, D)

Have breakfast.

This morning, start your trekking day by a short transfer to Y Linh Ho trekking point. Moving downhill to the terraced fields and follow small paths, crossing a river on a interesting suspension bridge. Continue on the trek uphill. This is rather challenging when it is wet but definitely offers you spectacular view over the valley. Finish your morning scenic trek at Lao Chai Village where your private vehicle awaits  you. Back to the town for Lunch before your afternoon drive to Bac Ha District.

DAY 8: BAC HA - HANOI (B, L)

Have breakfast.

Bac Ha is known as the capital of the region of the Flower H'mong in Vietnam. The district has several interesting hill tribe markets that many visitors would like to visit once. Option for choosing to Bac Ha – Sunday market, Can Cau – Saturday market, Lung Khau Nhin – Thursday market, Cao Son – Wednesday market, Coc Ly – Tuesday market. Depend on your schedule, the trip will include one of these markets as it is an awesome experience of seeing colors, understanding traditions and feeling the atmosphere. Besides, you may have chance to take a sightseeing boat ride downstream the Chay River before lunch. (The boat ride's availability is up to the water level). The afternoon drive takes you back to Hanoi to finish the scenic mountain trip.

DAY 9: HANOI - DEPARTURE (B)
