ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by driver (No Guide). Then transfer to hotel, check in & leisure (the room may not be available after 14:00 PM).

The rest time, you will be freely explore Hanoi by your ways.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR FULL DAY - NIGHT TRAIN TO LAO CAI (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

This morning, we will start a Hanoi tour by visiting outside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam).

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Temple of Literature. Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070. It is gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son Temple, Walking to visit Ma May ancient house...

Note:

+ On Monday and Friday morning, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed.

+ On Monday, Ethnic museums is closed, visit Thang Long Citadel instead of Ethnology Museum.

Have free time or take your dinner (your own expense).

After that, transfer to Hanoi Train Station for night train to Lao Cai city.

Overnight on train to Lao Cai

DAY 3: LAO CAI - SAPA - CATCAT VILLAGE - HAM RONG MOUNTAIN (B, L)

Upon arrival Lao Cai Station at 05:30AM, local tour guide will pick up you to Sapa town.

Have breakfast at local restaurant.

Then, tour guide pick up you and start trekking to Cat Cat village which is occupied by the Black H’mong tribe. Here, you can see the hydroelectric power station which was built by the French in twentieth century. You will experience the tribal way of life of ethnic minorities while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat village.

Then transfer back Sapa town.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, you will check in hotel, have a short leisure. Then, visit Ham Rong Mountain with unspoiled and spectacular scenery. You can enjoy many kinds of colorful flowers in Indochina Orchid Garden. Passing two Heaven Gates, visitors will reach the top of Ham Rong which is called Pitch Cloud and have a panoramic view of Sapa.

DAY 4: TA PHIN VALLEY – SILVER WATERFALL – TRAM TON PASS (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

This morning visit to Ta Phin commune 14 km southeast of Sapa town. Located in a large valley, surrounded by high mountains, which covered by pine trees and forest, Ta Phin Commune is home to the Red Zao and Black H’mong ethnic. Although living close to each other for years, these two ethnic peoples are very different: The H’mong are cheerful and open minded while the Red Zao are economical and reserved. Taking a short drive to the center of the valley, you will enjoy an easy walk following village path around the valley, paying visit to H’mong hamlets scattering from the bottom of the valley to higher mountain slopes. From high elevation, great view of the valley stretching under your foot. Continue your walk to the Red Zao village in which you will meet groups of women making handicrafts includes embroidered clothes, handbags. In the afternoon, drive up hill to see the famous Silver Waterfall and then onto Tram Ton, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam at 1,800 m above sea level for enjoying the magnificence of Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range as well as over viewing spectacular landscapes of the whole area, stretching endlessly. DAY 5: SAPA – MUONG HOA VALLEY (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

Today, you will spend the whole day exploring the spectacular Muong Hoa valley, famed as the most beautiful valley in the region. A car will take us out of the town, following the only road built on the side of a mountain range, looking down the valley, over viewing magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies. Many time, leaving the main road, you will visit tribal villages such as Ta Van of the Zay, Su Pan of the Black H’mong, Ban Ho of the Tay. There are chances for meeting and contacting locals at home and at works. Leaving Ban Ho in late afternoon, drive back to Sapa. Evening is at your leisure.

DAY 6: SAPA – TRIBAL TRADITIONAL MARKET – NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B, L)

Have breakfast at hotel.

After breakfast you will be picked up again by your private local guide and driver and then depart Sapa for a 3 hour drive to one of the most colorful markets of the region. Depending on what date it is today, you can choose one of the market available for your interest in our market list and we shall refine a detail itinerary and activities. Option (depend on you date) for choosing to Bac Ha – Sunday market, Can Cau – Saturday market, Lung Khau Nhin – Thursday market, Cao Son – Wednesday market, Coc Ly – Tuesday market. After a day joining locals and enjoying their market atmosphere and activities, you will arrive Lao Cai Station,having a shower before boarding the overnight train for Hanoi.

DAY 7: HANOI – DEPATURE (B)

Upon arrival Hanoi Station at 05:30AM, car take you to local restaurant.

Have breakfast at local restaurant.

Depend on your flight, or your plan stay in Hanoi, take time to explore Hanoi by your own or free at your leisure at the hotel. Or take you to the airport for your onward flight.
